Keep Running?

Four miles tonight brought me to one thousand since I started tracking my mileage in April. I think that's pretty cool.

But just when I was beginning to think I was pretty hot shiznit I came across this story from ESPN.com. This guy has run a few miles, too. And I think he combs his chest hair. Awesome.

I wonder if anyone wants to try something like this for 2008. At least one mile a day for the entire calendar year. Hmmm....

Keep running!

  1. My pal, Perry, at Just Your Average Joggler is on a joggling streak. I'm not sure how many days he is up to, but I'm pretty sure he is coming up on a year soon.

  2. I've heard several stories of that nature, and I have to wonder if they're really brave and strong, or really stupid? But man, that is a nice fur coat he has going on!

  3. A friend of mine had the same goal: to run everyday. He also ran the day after a surgery. I think that this is not a pleasure but a source of stress.
    Congrats for the "first" 1,000!!!!

  4. I agree that would cause stress and it wouldn't be fun anymore.

  10. Congrats to you on your first 1,000 miles! I wouldn't mind trying to see if I could run everyday in January... even if it's only a mile or 2 each day. I have gone almost 2 weeks with running as I speak... yuck.

  11. How about, run for at least a mile, write for at least 10 minutes. I think you're in good enough shape to handle it right now, but I might be setting myself up for a new year of exhaustion. I'm in Spokane. I'll call you guys soon! Can't wait to see you.
