Slowly

I've run a mile or two here and there with no knee pain. That's the good news. The bad news is that Sadie is on the verge of disowning me. After a year of constant running she's become quite spoiled. She told me the other night that if we don't go on a run of at least twenty miles in the next two weeks then she's going to file the necessary paperwork to get a new owner.

In the meantime, we play in the snow.

She loves the Frisbee

Look how buff I am. Wait, maybe
that's just the seven layers I'm wearing...

I'm looking forward to my trip down to Texas in a couple weeks to see everyone I haven't seen for nearly a couple years (Hi, Mom!) and to watch my dad run the Rocky Raccoon 50 mile.

Keep running!

  3. Looks like you and she are having some good old fun. The snow sure looks beautiful.

About the knee - do what you can. Slowly is good.

  4. We weren't fooled by the 7(?) layers! (More like 9!) I'm sure Sadie doesn't mind having a little off season, as long as she gets to chase frisbees and rabbit in the snow.

  5. Man, isn't that the truth?!? Once you start running with a dog, it's like you create a monster you have to keep feeding! LOL Cosmo is the same way. He expects to run like he expects to be fed, let out and fussed over. Hope you can get back out there soon and make Sadie a happy dog.

  7. Glad to hear about the knee, but the dog issue is going to have to be dealt with sooner or later. I'd hate for Sadie to start cheating on you ;)

  10. Maybe if you can't run with me you can ride your bike along with me like you used to do on those Rocky Raccoon trails when you were a kid! But I think your knee will be fine. I'm planning on running the 50 miler with you...

  14. That snow looks inviting. Heal up quickly before Sadie disowns you. Lucky for you there are plenty of races out there waiting for you when you are healed.

  15. Glad to hear you got a good report from Dr. and that your knee is feeling better. I know the set back must be very frustrating. Hope your trip home to Texas is a great one. Plans to see Mike and Amber? Tell the fam hello.

  16. Listen to Sadie, she is wise. However I thought she were the owner because I know that the dogs and the cats breed the humans.
